Florida Hemp-Inspired Craft Beer, Brewed for the Sunshine State
At Caloosahatchee Beverage Company, we set out to do something that had never been done before. Our beers are Florida hemp-inspired craft ales developed in close partnership with the federal government, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), and the State of Florida’s Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco – making them the first federally approved hemp beer category in the nation. What’s in your glass isn’t just great beer. It’s history.
The Beer
Our flagship, Caloosa Kush Hazy Hemp IPA, is brewed using parts of the hemp plant to deliver a flavor profile unlike anything else on the market. Voted Best Beer at the 2023 SGI Brewfest, Caloosa Kush is hazy, refreshing, and unmistakably Florida – from the first pour to the last sip. No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Just thoughtfully crafted beer that captures the spirit of the Sunshine State. And be sure to check out our other drinks, Myakka Gold and Hialeah Heaven.

Federally Approved. Florida First.
Caloosahatchee Beverage Company spent over a year working alongside federal regulators to establish a Hemp Beer category that simply did not exist. These are not workarounds. They are the first of their kind: approved at the federal level and deeply rooted in Florida’s agricultural identity. When you drink a Caloosa Kush, you’re drinking a beer that required real groundwork to make possible.
The Brewmaster
Our beer is guided by one of the most decorated brewmasters in the country. Colby Chandler brings over two decades of experience at Ballast Point Brewing, where he played a central role in developing their portfolio, representing the brand on five continents, and serving as president of the San Diego Brewers Guild for six consecutive years. His track record with more than 150 collaboration brews speaks for itself. We’re proud to have his expertise behind every batch of Caloosa Kush.
